Precious Treasures only takes 5 children, maximum -- an amount that has long been held as the best group size for children 0-5 years of age. Additionally, starting family child care between 3 and 6 months of age and leaving between 4 and 5 years of age provides the best quality care and education for each child physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and psychologically.
At Precious Treasures...
...We encourage creativity, individuality, and independence by providing an environment filled with love, patience, and kindness and a curriculum flexible enough to include specific interests and developmental needs.
...We believe children thrive best when love and routine are provided, so we create monthly schedules for events and activities – all focused on the children’s developing needs and interests.
...We also provide age-appropriate books, indoor and outdoor equipment, and educational materials – all in a fun and safe environment. Along with teacher instruction, each child has many opportunities to learn and grow at his own pace – allowing mastery of skills in his own space and time.
Precious Treasures has the experience and training needed for infants and toddlers. We set our standards high, but we know you would not want anything less.
While there are a number of competitors in the market (and in the area), none provide the range of services we offer with such a focused approach, for such a small group and competitive price.
Precious Treasures is a play-based childcare -- children learn best through play. We take the children to a variety of places (San Francisco Zoo, California Academy of Sciences, local libraries and festivals, East Bay Regional Parks, seasonal locales, etc.) so they can interact with their world, socialize, and get dirty!
We are located in beautiful Richmond Heights. A few blocks from the 80 and a few minutes from the BART, we are able to serve you wherever you are headed.
We have a large backyard area with toys, activities, and crafts galore for children 0-5 years of age.
Children will care for what they love. They will also eat what they plant. Everyone has regular opportunities to choose plants, dig around in the dirt, water, harvest, and eat!
Currently everything is open, but a variant and common sense could curtail the outings. We will continue learning and growing wherever we are. Thankfully, we have chickens...
...quails...
...and ducks in the backyard for all to enjoy. Children get a chance to care for and touch these critters to learn about patience and kindness. They are also amazing for stress relief!
