"It is my pleasure to offer my strongest recommendation of Miss Monique and Precious Treasures daycare. My son has attended Precious Treasures for approximately 18 months. During that time, he has grown physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally. We could not be happier with the care that he has received, and we are deeply saddened that we must leave soon due to a job-related relocation.
As a daycare, Precious Treasures is very unique. Each week, Monique takes the children to a variety of different places to gain new experiences - from the San Francisco Zoo, to the California Academy of Sciences, to storytime at local libraries. My son has learned so many new fun facts through these trips, but perhaps more importantly, he has become much more confident and comfortable going out into public places with other people. In turn, as his mother, this makes me feel more confident and excited about taking him out to fun places to share new experiences. (As a bonus, he is certainly a much better car passenger than many toddlers his age.)
In addition to facilitating these opportunities for the children to develop socially and intellectually, Monique prioritizes the physical well-being and development of the children in her care. One way in which she does this is by cooking homemade, nutritious meals for the children on a daily basis. My son raves about her apple butter! During his time at Precious Treasures, I appreciated how well Monique kept track of and communicated to me about my son’s sleeping, eating, and bathroom behaviors. After a day at work, a quick check-in with Monique made me feel like I really knew how his day went and what, if anything, I needed to look out for.
Finally, at Precious Treasures, my son developed strong friendships with other children and a solid relationship with Monique. These relationships have become an integral part of his life and how he processes new experiences. Tonight, as he began to fall asleep, he told me a story about five penguin friends. One was named Monique, and the others were named after himself and the other children attending the daycare with him. He smiled as he recounted their adventures. It warms my heart to know that he feels safe and loved in the company of Monique and the other kids at Precious Treasures.

"It is our pleasure to recommend Monique and Precious Treasures to other parents and families. We enrolled our daughter with Monique in Dec 2023 when our daughter was only 3 months old. As first time parents and this also being the first time we were leaving our daughter in someone else's care, we were anxious to begin with. But Precious Treasures was a blessing in disguise and we soon realized how perfect that environment was for our daughter. Monique is kind, compassionate and intelligent. She plans lots of activities and trips to ensure the kids are engaged and have fun throughout the day. Monique has tons of experience, maturity and excellent judgement about children and their needs. She talks to them with a smile on her face and a positive attitude, and has always made us feel confident that our daughter is safe and well looked after in her care.
Monique is very reliable, we can’t remember a time when she was out sick or missed a day for any unplanned reason. She always tried to make our life simpler by letting us know how our daughter did everyday, including things she liked/didn't like so that we could encourage her to do more of the things she enjoyed, and work on things she didn't (tummy time was a big struggle at the time).
Monique is extremely trustworthy, we never worried about the safety of our daughter when she was under Monique's care. Monique has immense patience, always patient and calm with every kid. She always respected the children, and at the same time was able to maintain a playful yet calm atmosphere.

"I would 100% recommend Precious Treasures as a wonderful daycare for your child to attend. Monique is such a pleasure to work with and really cares about your child as if they were her own.
Not only does she have a clean facility in her home, but she takes the kids out to many different activities throughout the week. Almost everyday they do something different to provide the children with learning and fun. This is something rare in traditional daycare.
Our child has a g-tube due to eating troubles. Monique learned how to use our feeding pump and did not have any issues doing so. We were very concerned that we would have trouble finding a daycare to work with our special needs but Monique was up for the challenge. She also helped us find a better bottle for our child to use and has successfully helped our child eat better! We really could not have asked for anything more.
Our reason for our departure is because we are moving. If this were not the case we would have been with Monique until our child was ready for preschool. We are sad to leave her care but highly recommend her.

"Our son was in Monique's care at Precious Treasures from the time he was 4 months old until he was 2 years and 8 months. Looking back on our time as part of the Precious Treasures community, there are a few things that stand out to us that we have greatly appreciated.
Adventure: Monique plans and facilitates so many different adventures and experiences for the children in her care. Regular trips to the San Francisco Zoo, Ardenwood historic Farm, Children's Fairyland, and so many other places around the Bay Area provided positive and engaging experiences for the children to explore their world. We've noticed that our son is well-prepared for the times when we got out as a family -- anything from holding on to the stroller or the shopping cart and staying close to us, to being comfortable in long car rides, to just being excited to be out and about -- and we're confident that his experience with Monique has helped him grown in these areas.
Community: We have had a very positive experience getting to know the other children and families at Precious Treasures in our time there. The community is a great size -- big enough for us to meet new families but small enough that it feels very familiar and personal. As our son has developed more words, one of our favorite things to talk about has been naming his Precious Treasures buddies.
Practical Care: Precious Treasures has worked really well for us in terms of the location, cost, food, and hours. We are both teachers and have an early start to our work day, so the morning availability has been helpful for us. We've also greatly appreciated the nutritious food that Monique provides during the day. Monique puts so much effort and care and thoughtfulness into each aspect of the program.
It's hard to believe it has been almost two and a half years! It has been wonderful to see our son grow so much and we are grateful for the relationships we have been able to cultivate in that time. We are grateful to Monique for all of her time, energy, and care for our child!"

"There aren't enough great things to say about Monique and Precious Treasures (PT). We started our little one with PT when he was a newborn -- back in January of 2021. Naturally, as first time parents, we were very anxious regarding daycare, especially during the pandemic. However, we were pleasantly surprised with just how organized and thoughtful Monique is -- with everything! From her handbook to her monthly schedules, Monique is very meticulous with the way she structures her program for the children regarding safety, routines, and the plans, which can only be explained by her long years of experience.
We're still amazed with the amount of daily activities PT plans for the children, including visits to the Oakland and San Francisco Zoos, parks, and activity centers. As a parent, we really want our son to get as broad an experience as possible, which we'd say makes PT so unique. She has been so great on the nutrition side as well -- preparing wonderfully heathy meals for our son, who just gobbles it all up; in fact, we suspect he loves the food at PT over his home-cooked meals!
Monique has also been so awesome at gauging our son's development and working with him on different issues as he grows and transitions, and we have greatly appreciated PT's daily and quarterly updates. Let's just say: Monique's communication is like an "A++". We have absolutely no doubt she really cares about kids under her care. Quite honestly, we see Monique as an extension of our family, and are truly grateful to have found Precious Treasures. We're always happy to provide more reference!"

“We couldn’t be happier with O’s care at Precious Treasures with Miss Monique. We were reassured from Day 1 (our son) was in good hands and, probably unusually for first-time parents, had no worries about leaving (him) with Monique, no doubts about the standard of care he would receive. That was wonderful, as it allowed us to focus on just getting used to our separation from (our son) and settling into our new routine – without having any nagging worries about whether nor not he would be basically “OK”. "My son has been with Precious Treasures since he was about nine months old (now 2) and I am so happy with the care Monique provides for him. When he is with her I know he's being well cared for, is eating healthy and balanced meals, participating in all sorts of enrichment activities, and socializing with other great kids. Pre-pandemic, they were going on field trips almost every day to the zoos, BADM, the California Academy of Sciences, or community events. During the pandemic I have felt very safe in keeping him at Precious Treasures because we are close friends with all of the families and we became our own social bubble. Additionally, Monique is stringent about mask wearing when appropriate, and as a consequence my son will wear a mask with very little fuss (quite a feat for a 2 year old if you ask me!). "Our 3 yo son has been with Precious Treasures since he was 9 months old and we cannot recommend PT and Monique's care enough! We were originally drawn to PT because of the daily outings to places like local zoos, the Cal Academy, BADM, and Fairyland. Once COVID hit, the outings were initially reduced but have since restarted, and our son is an expert at wearing a mask - thanks to Monique's consistency! Monique was able to stay open through the pandemic through lots of communication with the families. We have felt very safe in keeping our son with PT throughout the pandemic.
Monique keeps us updated daily on our son's activities and development. She has been there to support us at every development milestone, from learning to walk, to potty training, and now learning to read/write. "Our almost-4-year-old has been with Monique at Precious Treasures since January 2018. He loves his friends there as well as the activities he gets to be involved in throughout the day. In a non-covid setting, the kids and Monique go on daily trips to museums, parks, story times, and so many different programs available throughout the Bay Area. In these uncertain times, Monique has done everything possible to help our families feel safe and secure in having children in her care amidst this health crisis.
